reminiscent of Minority Report or The Matrix?

Enlightenment

there is a boy called Bamjan who was meditating.
he is a teenager from nepal who had been sitting under a
peepal tree (that's peepal not paypal).

his full name is Ram Bahadur Banjan and he had been
meditating for months apparently without food, water,
sleep or toilet breaks. The story was even on the bbc
site: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/4479240.stm

he was to carry on meditating for another six years, until he
reached enlightenment, where he would transcend desire
and suffering and attain Nirvana.

the plot thickens...

he has disappeared! where did he go?

"It was still unclear when he went missing, but initial reports said he was last seen on Friday.

Subedi said police were investigating if the boy just wandered into the jungle or he was
abducted by robbers."

did he trancsend earlier than expected?
maybe he disappeared in a flash of blinding light, or smuggled away under cover of darkness?
with the great influx of visitors to the site in Nepal, one would have thought that at least one of these people would have had a torch to cut through the night, and find the source of any rustling after dark.

Perfect Footwear

you know when you have a great pair of boots
and you can't bear to be parted from them?
bulbboy had such a pair.

my usual pair weren't available so i used an older pair.
being careful to put a spare corrective insole in this pair,
i then set upon my merry way...it wasn't merry for very long.
the voodoo on my spine that i spoke of in an earlier post returned,
with reinforcements.

unfortunately, i hadn't checked out the soles of my former favourite
footwear. these were worn in my pre osteopath/podiatrist days.
the right sole had worn down a little, and this small amount of difference
was enough to cause pain.

i won't be wearing those boots again, unless of course they can be properly resoled, waste not want not! possibly time for new boots.

bulbboy has seen kids walking around with very cool boots and trainers that flash little LEDs when they walk. bulbboy is thinking of developing a set of flashlight boots. just imagine: night time jogging, see those puddles before you land in them! just click your heels together, and before you can say "there's no place like home" bright beams of light fly forth from your tootsies. a little like the boots in the bond 007 movie from Russia with love, worn by the little assassin (except with flashlight beams).
*sigh, i can but dream*

Light Fantastic

bulbboy was tripping the light fantastic yesterday.

NO BACK PAIN!

if you didn't understand that let me fill you in.
for nearly two and a half years i've suffered from back pain.
an insole from a podiatrist was put into my left shoe,
and has been slowly altering my posture.


yesterday was the first day i did not suffer any back complaint whatsoever!
near the start of the day i noticed that things were not sore as they normally are.
it was a "light bulb moment", and from that moment on the rest of the day felt quite dreamy.
long may it last.
