Fog

it was very foggy last night.

this did not deter many car drivers from driving too fast.
what is too fast? a taxi driver (who should know the road
like the back of his hand) missing a turn, and sharply
putting on the brakes, screeching to a loud stop,
and then reversing to correct his direction.

that's what i would call too fast.

luckily for me, a blue LED flashlight was attached to my
keychain. pressed in short bursts, it would give the impression
of a cop car some distance away. upon hearing a vehicle approach,
a few squeezes of the small torch was enough to let them know
that there was somebody (or something in the distance) and they
slowed down.
Even during daylight hours, the mere presence of
a panda car usually encourages drivers to slow down and be more
watchful, even if they weren't over the speed limit.

it is an offence to impersonate a police officer; i wonder if it is an
offence to impersonate a police car?

WARNING: bulbboy in no way encourages the shining of lights at driver
in case of distraction and subsequent death.
